Silvertip Resort in Canmore is one of my favourite Rocky Mountain wedding venues. When Alyssa and James reached out to me to photograph their wedding I was so excited. They came all the way to Canmore from Australia and brought almost 40 of their friends and family with them to enjoy all that Calgary and the Rockies have to offer in the summer. Some of my favourite Canadian features at the wedding were a caesar bar and an Australia vs. Canada trivia game called Shark vs. Bear where the guests had to guess some crazy facts about both countries.

From my extensive knowledge of Australia (watching many hours of Million Dollar Listing Sydney) I knew that Australians are super stylish and like to party. The wedding was a direct representation of my research. Everyone was dressed to impress and there for the party. Alyssa was an absolutely stunning bride in one of the most gorgeous dresses I’ve ever seen. There day was so fun to be apart of and one of those days where everyone is having a great time in the moment which allows me to capture so many candid moments. Their cocktail hour was on the patio at Silvertip with views of the golf course and Rocky Mountain in the background. There was so much laughter, delicious food and cocktails flowing. Cocktail hour is one of my favourite parts of a wedding day and I try to help all of my clients plan a timeline that allows them to actually be there and enjoy it. I’m so thankful that Alyssa and James found me from all the way down under and that I was able to capture their beautiful Silvertip wedding.
