Calgary Maternity & Newborn Session

I’m so excited to share this Calgary maternity and newborn session. We picked the perfect fall night for golden maternity photos, and good thing we did because Baby Beatrix arrived early only a few days after our shoot. I love when my clients book a maternity session and a newborn session. It gives me the chance to really get to know them and capture those relaxed, candid images that everyone loves. We’ve all seen some pretty cringey maternity sessions and I vow to never make you pose topless in a field with a tutu on. The same goes for the shirtless studio newborn sessions that graced our Facebook feeds a few years ago. You’ll never see one from me, I promise.

My approach to maternity and newborn photos is to capture my clients feeling comfortable and being themselves. Those intimate details, like the shape of a growing belly and all of those tiny toes, ears and hair are the things that I love to focus on.
